Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer | Funeral Service Educator

Jillian Dial is a California-licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with extensive hands-on operational, occupational safety, and academic experience in mortuary science. She serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Funeral Service Education program at American River College, where she instructs emerging professionals on the application of industry standards, ethical practices, and administrative procedures.

Prior to her work in higher education, Jillian gained comprehensive clinical and administrative experience as a practicing embalmer and funeral director, alongside active service on institutional safety committees. In these roles, she helped oversee workplace safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation in high-volume mortuary settings, while managing case work, embalming operations, and client care. Her dual background in active practice and academic instruction provides a grounded, comprehensive perspective on standard-of-care evaluation, regulatory standards, and best practices in mortuary litigation support.
